Is Kate Middleton Heading to Wimbledon? Here’s What Her Friend Says

There’s speculation Kate could present trophies, depending on how she’s feeling.

There’s speculation that Kate Middleton might make an appearance at Wimbledon this year—and if you’re wondering whether or not she’ll show up to present trophies, the answer is a firm TBD.

“It is no secret that she would dearly love to be there, but when you are having chemo, as she herself said, there are good days and bad days,” a friend tells the Daily Beast. “A lot depends on the timing of the treatments. She made it to Trooping the Color so if she can make Wimbledon, she will.”

Meanwhile, All England Club Chair Debbie Jevans told the Daily Telegraph, “We’re hopeful that the Princess of Wales will be able to present the trophies as the Club’s patron, but her health and recovery is the priority. We don’t know what we don’t know. All we’ve said is that we’ll work with her and give her as much flexibility as possible.”

Btw, if Kate does show up at Wimbledon, it will mark her second public appearance since announcing her cancer diagnosis. She previously attended Trooping the Colour back in June.

Kate implied that she’d show up at a few more public events throughout the summer, saying the following in a post on Instagram: “I’m looking forward to attending The King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet.”
