The Chiefs take on the Miami Dolphins in what could be one of the coldest playoff games in league history.
The wind chill in Kansas City on Saturday night will be “dangerously cold,” according to the National Weather Service, per Andy Slater.
The latest forecast update predicts a wind chill upwards of -30 degrees.
Despite the frigid forecast, there are no plans to move the game.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, Arrowhead Stadium’s official account posted tips on how to stay warm for fans attending the game in the stands.
Hours later, Mahomes echoed the message with a simple repost on the platform.
Arrowhead first advises guests to bundle up, recommending ticket holders to pack blankets if necessary.
Portable chargers and non-dry cell batteries to power heated apparel are also allowed.
Secondly, they recommend fans stay hydrated.
All attendees are permitted entry with one factory-sealed water bottle as long as it’s 20 ounces or less.
During the game, if fans need an instant blast of heat, charging stations are spread across the stadium too.
Lastly, the team endorses the idea of drinking a warm beverage.
Hot chocolate can be purchased at all Chiefs bar, tailgater, Blaze, and Sheridan’s locations on the field and upper levels.
For fans who pledge to be a designated driver, they’ll receive a coupon for a complimentary cup of hot chocolate if they visit the Fans First Booths.
