PATRICK Mahomes looked completely unrecognizable on the first day the Kansas City Chiefs star signed at Texas Tech.
The NFL superstar, 27, went to WhiteHouse High School in Texas where he committed to Texas Tech.
The son of MLB pitcher Pat Mahomes, Patrick was a third-star football recruit.
He received offers from Texas Tech, Rice, and Houston while also being a top baseball prospect.
Mahomes decided to sign with Texas Tech in April of 2013 and was interviewed on the day of his crucial decision.
The future two-time Super Bowl champion appeared in a YouTube video with the Tyler Morning Telegraph.
Patrick was seen with a youthful fresh-faced look while donning short hair and an uneven hairline.
He currently has curly hair with a taper fade mohawk.
Mahomes would go on to play three seasons with the Red Raiders.
After his sophomore year, he quit baseball to focus on football.
That decision proved to be the correct move as Mahomes was given the Sammy Baugh Trophy, which is an award to the nation’s top college quarterback.
The rest would be history for him after forgoing his last year of college eligibility to enter the NFL Draft.
Patrick was selected with the No. 10 overall pick by the Kansas City Chiefs.
After spending his rookie season on the bench backing up Alex Smith, he won the 2018 NFL MVP award and was named the 2019 Super Bowl MVP.
Mahomes won his second Super Bowl and MVP in the 2022 season.
In 2020, he signed a whopping 10-year contract extension worth a total of $503, the third-largest known contract in sporting history.
The same year, Patrick proposed to his childhood sweet, Brittany, in 2020.
The couple has two children, a two-year-old daughter Sterling Skye, and a one-year-old son Bronze.
Brittany is the co-owner of the Kansas City Current, a women’s professional soccer team.
Patrick and his wife have multi-million-dollar properties.
They have three estates in Missouri and one in Texas.
