Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been warned that they are in a “very sorry mess” over one “fundemental issue” as the rift with the Royal Family continues.
Talk TV’s royal editor Sarah Hewson claimed that Meghan has no “desire” to return to the UK to reunite with her in-laws, despite Prince Harry returning recently to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.
Despite landing at Heathrow Airport before heading to Nigeria, Meghan has not spent any real time in the UK since Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in September 2022
Hewson called the whole thing a “very sorry mess”, pinpointing the lack of trust between the Sussexes and the Firm as “the fundamental issue” in why there has been no reconciliation.
She said: “It’s sad. Mistakes have been made along the way on both sides. But as long as there’s … no trust, that’s the fundamental issue here, that those conversations they have are going to end up on a breakfast show or a documentary or on the pages of a book, those conversations just can’t happen.”
