Packers coach Matt LaFleur was full of praise Friday for the Chiefs’ star offensive duo as his team prepares to host Kansas City this weekend.
The Packers (5-6) will face the Chiefs (8-3) on Sunday night, and LaFleur is well aware of the challenges Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes will present.
[Kelce] and Patrick [Mahomes] are on a whole ‘nother level in terms of the rapport that those guys have,’ LaFleur told reporters. ‘It’s a fun thing to watch, it’s just not the most fun to play against.’
The Packers coach added of Kelce, ‘He’s dynamic. What a great feel for the game, he has got a unique ability to be able to find the soft spots in the defense.
‘You’re never gonna fully take a guy like that away… it’s just how do you limit it.’
LaFleur also revealed in his press conference that Kelce’s girlfriend Taylor Swift is expected to be in attendance on Sunday.
The pop superstar, whose ‘Eras’ tour does not recontinue until February, has not been to a Chiefs game since their 31-17 victory over the LA Chargers on October 22.
But she now appears to be headed to Green Bay.
‘It is what it is. It comes with it I guess,’ LaFleur said when asked about Swift on Friday. ‘Is she supposed to be here? That’s what I’ve heard. So we’ll see.
‘That’s just part of it, we’re definitely more focused on the game. But I’m sure there’ll be some fired up people in the stands if she shows up.
Kelce, who was seen stopping for gas and picking up some candy on his way to Chiefs practice on Thursday, says he is relishing a ‘f****ng dog fight’ in Green Bay on Sunday.
He told brother Jason on their New Heights podcast: ‘Shout out to the Packers fans, that stadium you just feel the history and how legendary it is. And the fans, they make it an experience man. It’s gonna be a fun one man, it’s gonna be a fun one.
‘Packers are playing good football right now, coming off a huge win against the Lions, and yeah… we know we’re gonna be in a f****ng dog fight.
Swift has attended four of Kelce’s games this season since they went public with their relationship in September
