Kate Middleton, Prince William join forces for moving health project

Prince William and Kate Middleton are vocal advocates of mental health

Prince William and Kate Middleton marked Mental Health Awareness Week with a heartwarming film about UK farmers.

In a social media update earlier this week, Sam Stables from We Are Farming Minds was featured alongside Farmer Will to offer a glimpse into the isolated world of farming.

The description for the film read: “This #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek we’ve brought together the inspirational Sam Stables from We Are Farming Minds and the brilliant Farmer Will for a very special film.

“Spending a day together on Sam’s farm in Hereford they chatted about mental health in the farming community, finding support and the Duchy of Cornwall’s Mental Health Strategy.”

The film has been released on the Waleses’ official YouTube channel.

William and Kate initially met Sam during their visit to his farm last year as they launched the Duchy’s Mental Health Strategy.

The couple’s latest project received positive feedback from their followers, who lauded them for highlighting the importance and unacknowledged labour of farmers.

“Thank you Prince William and Princess Catherine for highlighting the importance of all of the hardworking farmers and the impact that they have on all of our lives and local communities as a whole,” a user wrote in the comments section of the film.

“Wishing you and your entire family many happy hours and blessings! Sending forth all of my very best wishes to you Princess Catherine, and pray especially hard that you are doing well and are in good spirits.

“Thank you so very much again for everything that you and your family continue to do for all of us! We are so very blessed and fortunate to have you in our lives. God bless you all!” they added.
