King Charles strips Prince Harry of all Military roles – gives it to Prince Williams

King Charles Made Prince William Leader of Prince Harry’s Military Regiment

King Charles delivered the blow amid being “too busy” to see Harry during his visit to London.

In a royal switch-up that’s sure to raise eyebrows, King Charles has reportedly taken a military appointment previously meant for Prince Harry and given it to Prince William.

According to The Independent (who described the move as a “blow” to the Duke of Sussex), William will be made Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps, even though Prince Harry served with the unit in Afghanistan.

Kensington Palace confirmed the appointment in the following statement:

“His Majesty the King will officially hand over the role of Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps to His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. In August 2023, following His Majesty’s Accession, the King was pleased to announce military appointments including that the Prince of Wales would become Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps. The role was previously held by His Majesty the King, as Prince of Wales, for 31 years.”
Apparently, the role would have gone to Prince Harry had he not stepped down from his senior royal duties in January 2020.

FYI, this news comes amid Prince Harry’s spokesperson confirming that the Duke of Sussex won’t be seeing King Charles during his trip to the UK due to His Majesty being too busy. Harry arrived in England on the same day that the Palace made its announcement.

“In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not the duke will meet with his father while in the UK this week, it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme,” Harry’s spokesperson said. “The duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”
