Meghan Markle attended two Trooping the Colour ceremonies during her time as a royal, but she isn’t adding a third event to her list. That’s not a surprise given the state of the family feud, but the headlines seem to think that Meghan and Prince Harry are home in Montecito, California fretting about being left off the invite list.

The dynamic duo isn’t sweating the moment once bit, even after People confirmed that they were “not invited to Trooping the Colour for [a] second year in a row.” The annual celebration, which marks the monarch’s birthday, is set to be held on June 15. It’s noteworthy because the royal family usually stands on the balcony of Buckingham Palace for a photo opportunity while watching the festivities on the ground and in the sky. The last time Harry and Meghan were on the balcony was in 2019, so royal fans certainly

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex cannot be expected to hop over the pond for every royal event if, and that’s a big if, they are invited. The reason they left the palace was to carve out an independent life for themselves. For Harry, that means expanding the reach of the Invictus Games, and for Meghan, it’s the launch of her new brand, American Riviera Orchard. Together, they have their philanthropic ventures with the Archewell Foundation and their ongoing relationship with Netflix. Life is busy, and when you add in Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to the mix, it’s a happy time for them.

It’s easy to read between the lines and note that the relationship between King Charles III and Harry is not at a high point. If the royal family couldn’t be bothered to attend his 10th anniversary service for the Invictus Games, then the Sussexes weren’t going to be invited to Trooping the Colour. Christopher Andersen, author of The King: The Life of Charles III, told Fox News Digital that the family feud has taken a dramatic turn because of the recent health crises. “[Charles and William] have chosen to ignore Harry, to freeze him out, and to not let him get under their skin when they are facing so many critical challenges,” Andersen alleged. “In a way, I think that is even sadder. It’s been said that hate isn’t the opposite of love – indifference is.”

The royal family isn’t sitting at home thinking about Harry and Meghan all day and the same goes for the California couple. Perhaps they all wish that their relationships were stronger, but there are bigger issues to tend to — and one annual royal event isn’t at the top of anyone’s list.
