Thank you for watching

Released on Instagram on Friday, April 19, “Taylor Made Freestyle” comes hot on the heels of Drake’s earlier diss track “Push Ups,” which targeted Lamar with sharp lyrics.

In this latest installment, Drake takes another swing at Lamar, while also suggesting that Swift might be the reason for his delayed response.

In one verse, Drake raps, “But now we gotta wait a f—ing week ’cause Taylor Swift is your new Top / And if you ’bout to drop, she gotta approve.”

This line not only hints at Lamar’s potential delay in responding but also throws shade at Swift’s perceived influence in the music industry.

While Drake appears to criticize Swift in some verses, he also surprisingly gives her a shout-out in the outro, acknowledging her impact on the music scene.

“Shout out to Taylor Swift, biggest gangster in the music game right now,”Drake declares, before further commenting on her recent album release.

“You know, I moved my album when she dropped, I said that already. You know, she ’bout to milli’ run through a Milly Rock on your head top. She got the whole pgLang [Lamar’s company] on mute like that Beyoncé challenge, y’all boys quiet for the weekend,” he concludes.

Drake features AI Snoop Dogg & Tupac Shakur in latest track
The feud between Drake and Lamar is no new tale.

Stretching back over a decade, the two rappers have sparred through their music and in the media, with tensions rising once again in late March when Lamar seemingly dissed Drake on the track “She’s Like That.”

Adding to the intrigue of “Taylor Made Freestyle” is the incorporation of AI-generated vocals from hip-hop legends Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur.

While Swift probably won’t address Drake’s song publicly, Snoop already chimed in by sharing a video on Instagram after his AI voice was used

“They did what? When? How? Are you sure,” Snoop says in the Blues Clues-style video. “Huh. Y’all have a good night… Why everybody calling my phone, blowing me up? What the f—? What happened? What’s going on? I’m going back to bed. Good night.”

As the dust settles on this latest installment of the Drake-Lamar saga, fans are left eagerly awaiting Lamar’s response, wondering how this ongoing feud will continue to unfold.
