Kate Middleton issues first major update on new project since cancer diagnosis

The Princess of Wales appears to be making progress on a return to royal duties following the release of a trailer for a new project.

On Friday, Kate Middleton released a teaser for a short film designed to highlight the mental health challenges faced by the country’s farmers.

The film went live yesterday in conjunction with Mental Health Week.

It’s the first official project the princess has been involved in since she announced her shock cancer diagnosis earlier in March.

The news followed weeks of global speculation, riddled with conspiracy theories, as to her whereabouts and her wellbeing.

The Prince and Princess of Wales wrote from their official account on X: ‘This #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek we’ve brought together the inspirational Sam Stables from We Are Farming Minds and the brilliant Farmer Will for a very special film.

‘Spending a day together on Sam’s farm in Hereford they chatted about mental health in the farming community, finding support and the Duchy of Cornwall’s Mental Health Strategy.’

The film is now live and available to watch on YouTube.

The princess does not herself feature in the ten-minute clip.

The project was nevertheless produced under the guidance of both herself and Prince William.
