King Charles ‘turns the tables’ on Prince Harry amid royal rift

Prince Harry is now facing a new resistance to his olive branch to the royal family

Prince Harry appears to face another roadblock in his reconciliation with cancer-stricken father, after he finally decided to reconnect.

The Duke of Sussex, who previously expressed his grievances through explosive memoir, Spare, is witnessing the tables being turned in the royal rift, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond told Times Radio.

“Early on it was Harry, who was demanding an apology,” Bond explained. “There was going to be no meeting of minds or meeting in reality until there was an apology for the affronts he thought had been made to his wife (Meghan Markle).”

Bond went on to add that the “tables have turned somewhat.”

“Messages coming from Harry’s side are that he’s ready at least to forgive and that he loves his family. He’s said that quite publicly. He wants to see more of them,” she continued.

“But it is Charles and William who seem to be resisting reconciliation at this point so I think it was first one, then the other.”

The comments come after the monarch rejected Prince Harry’s request to meet, which was placed a month prior to the Duke’s visit to London earlier his month.

During Prince Harry’s visit to London, his spokesperson told the British press that the Duke is “understanding” of his father’s prior commitments and full diary due to which the meeting could not happen.
