Despite preseason skepticism, The Dallas Mavericks have had a strong start with a 6-2 record, ranking second in the Western Conference.
Newcomer Grant Williams, who moved to Dallas from the Boston Celtics, has been a key contributor, averaging 14.0 points with a 52.9 percent shooting accuracy, both overall and from 3-point range, in his first eight games
The team faced the Toronto Raptors in a recent home game, with NFL star Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs sitting courtside.

However, despite Mahomes’ attendance, the Mavericks lost to the Raptors 127-116, as Williams faced offensive struggles and the Raptors’ Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby delivered standout performances with 31 and 26 points, respectively.
